Fourth Grade Ethics - Lying

Lying The Ethics of ChildrenThe following is one of my worthless thoughts from January 9th, 1986 on the topic of lying:

“I think you should lie for a good reason, otherwise I think it is bad.”

Deep, I know. Not sure much has changed since then.  Oh, well.

Sounds like a politician. Or a professional athlete facing drug charges.

@Nick, Yes. And even a marketing mind in 4th grade.

Actually, when you lie don’t you think you have a “good” reason to do so when you do it?
The reason may not be objectively good but you think that it is “good” at the time of the lie.

But then again it all depends on what the definition of ‘is’ is.
