Shaky-Cam Go Away
I recently saw Bourne Whatever. I was wondering why directors feel the need to add shaky cam to all fight scenes these days. Ok we get it, it’s a crazy fight, everything is spinning and shaking when they get hit… this awful filming technique it seems could be blamed on The Blair Witch project, which was more a result of a low budget film then any sophisticated technique. Hopefully this useless visual effect will soon go by the way side much like “Bullet-Time”, which was made famous by the Matrix and vanished after being mocked in animated films like Shrek. About the only thing gained by some from this visual effect is nausea.

just another worthless blog

I got sick twice watching the Blair Witch Project and was dizzy! I enjoy the Bourne series though….just thought I’d leave a worthless comment.
Trill, Thanks for you comment. It proves my point about the only thing gained! However, points were deducted from your comment for using an emoticon.
Funny!!
:):) Ain’t no shame in it!
And by the way, I used the colon : and half a parenthesis to make my smiley face. It’s your worthless blog that made the emoticon.
@Trill, ah yes. but according to wikipedia, which we all know is the epitome of factual, your colon and parenthesis do in fact make an emoticon. the graphical representation is an evidence of the evolution of this meaningless form of communication.
what bout dizzy cam? the hyper-pan. that one makes me throw up in my mouth.
bourne supremacy was the shakiest… it was like james bond meets cloverfield meets anything by jet li
seth, I would be a strong advocate of opening the mouth when one must “throw up.” But that’s just me. I don’t know what “hyper-pan dizzy cam” is… you made that up.
patrick, you seem like a wise discerning man. I don’t recall the supremacy’s shakiness so I will go with what you say, it’s the “shakiest.” Thanks for the comment.
